Faster Fat Loss With Fasting
Intermittent Fasting and different types of fasting are gaining more and more popularity over the last couple of years and for good reason. There are a lot of benefits that come with fasting. Apart from just the fat loss, there’s also potential to increase your longevity, energy and digestion.
Fasting can be a safe way to lose weight as many studies have shown that intermittent fasting – fasting that is controlled by a set number of hours (E.g 16 hours of not eating and 8 hours of eating) – allows the body to burn through fat cells more effectively than just regular dieting.
Intermittent fasting allows the body to use fat as it’s primary source of energy instead of sugar because the fuel source changes once you stop eating food for a certain amount of time.
Fasting also helps improve your insulin sensitivity which will allow you to use carbohydrates better, prevent diabetes and help you build more lean muscle mass.
I like to do fasting every single day and at the moment I fast from 5:30 – 6:00pm until 9am the next morning so it’s for about 15 hours. I stop eating before night time and won’t eat until day time again because that allows the body to flush out cells.
