Making Mashed Potatoes

In this week’s Sunday recipe I decided to make some good old fashion mashed potatoes and boy were they delicious.

When most of us think mashed potatoes we think about the creamy, milky, fluffy white potatoes you get from restaurants or what your mum used to make. The problem with making mashed potatoes like that is there’s just way too many calories or they’re refined and have additives, colours and flavours.

In order to make mashed potatoes healthy you only need to use a little bit of butter and milk after you’ve boiled the potatoes instead of adding cream and loads of butter.

To make your potatoes taste great use things like crushed garlic and parsley like I did.

Here’s the ingredients I used:

  • 250g of potatoes peeled and cut
  • 5g of butter
  • 100ml of milk
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 pinch of parsley

That’s it.
