You’re Going To Mess Up

Welcome to 2018 the year where everything changes!

‘The year where you completely transform your health and fitness’.

‘The year you really stick to your diet’.

‘The year you go to the gym 7 days a week’.

‘The year you’re going to mess up… OUCH!

The truth is we as humans can’t change everything in a week or a day or even a month.

We can’t change from going to the gym 0 times and eating like crap to training 5 days a week and eating like a Greek god and attaining the same fitness level as the rock.

Here’s the truth…

You’re going to make mistakes.

You’re going to slip up and eat food you know you shouldn’t.

You’re going to skip days at the gym because you feel lazy or because of work/family reasons.

You’re going to lose motivation at some point.

BUT THAT’S OK.

After all, we are only human.

Even though you mess up your diet, even though you skip the gym, even though you lose motivation does not mean that you failed.

If you skip a week in the gym or if you have an all-night bender with your friends that doesn’t mean you throw the baby out with the bathwater.

This is where the people who achieve their fitness goal are separated from the people who don’t.

Every day is a new day to try again.

Every day is a new day to eat healthily.

Every day is a new day to workout.

If you mess up, but you have an optimistic mindset that you can get back on track, that’s what’s going to help you push through the hard times.

It’s not about saying “you will start again next week”.

It’s about waking up the next morning with the positive mindset and trying again.

Don’t beat yourself up over one bad day or eating or missing a workout in the gym.

Accept that it happened, learn from it and plan to get right back on track tomorrow.

Don’t make the excuse for putting it off for another week or another month.

Don’t make the excuse for not having enough willpower.

Don’t make the excuse that it’s just too hard.

Get back up and try again.

And if that doesn’t work?

TRY AGAIN.

One day something will click, one day it will stick, then it will happen the next day, and then the next day and soon you’ll be well on your way to a healthier fitter leaner lifestyle.
